Songs of the Earth – A Musical Journey at Club 1857 | 21.11.2026

Ilko Gradev on accordion, Veselin Veselinov-Eko on double bass and Lora Bozhilova on violin come together on the stage of Club 1857 for a musical programme that brings together rhythms and melodies from different corners of the world.

The project Songs of the Earth is inspired by the 1991 duo album by double bassist Ron Carter and accordionist Richard Galliano. Ilko and Eko have included beautiful melodies and songs from around the world in their programme – Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Cuba, France, Peru, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Japan. They will perform them in their own original arrangements. Through interpretation and improvisation, the music often takes unexpected and surprising directions, both for the musicians themselves and for the audience.

Their concert will also feature the wonderful young and talented violinist and singer Lora Bozhilova. Their extensive repertoire includes both traditional folk songs and original compositions by Astor Piazzolla, Richard Galliano, Ariel Ramírez, Carlos Gardel, Jacob do Bandolim, Goran Bregović and Veselin Veselinov-Eko.
